Tedious tasks

BE KIND TO YOUR MIND

BRAIN-BREAK #1 - TEDIOUS TASKS 😁

I dug a hole! Well I dug part of a hole and Mykle tidied it up for me, but the point is people, a hole was dug 🙂

And while the hole was being dug, I thought of NOTHING ELSE.
It was hard work, took a solid ten minutes and needed my total concentration.

And, it gave me a BRAIN-BREAK!

Lots of emotional and creative thinking can be exhausting. Sometimes we need to give ourselves a time-out by forcing our thinking back into the frontal, problem-solving part of our brain for a while.

Try setting yourself a TEDIOUS TASK - here’s some guidelines. Make it...

QUICK - you can achieve it in 10 minutes or less
UNCOMPLICATED - won’t take much creative thought
ABSORBING - hard enough to take your full focus
DEFINED - a definite end where you can say - I DID IT!

That spells QUAD, just to help you remember!
Cleaning out a cupboard?
Filing a pile of papers?
Weeding a patch of garden?

Why not give yourself a BRAIN-BREAK today with a TEDIOUS TASK!
