How do you talk to yourself when you make a mistake?

It’s too easy to be our own worst critic and tell ourselves over and over that not only have we failed, we fail as a habit.

Next time you make a mistake, try using this phrase (that I learnt from my AMAZING friend Lisa McInnes Smith) instead.

‘THAT'S NOT LIKE YOU!’

The suggestion is, that it is out of character for you to get things wrong, in reality 99% of every day is getting things right!

We get out of bed, we remember to breathe, we feed and clean ourselves, we know how to walk, run, drive…

MOSTLY we are successful
MOSTLY we are doing a GREAT job!!
MOST of the time we get it right
So on the occasions that we get it wrong remember -

Give your brain a break by reminding yourself - that’s not like you!
